Undisturbed by cars, the island encompasses a small village with an inn and Victorian church, and the 13th-century Marisco Castle. Of interest to nature-lovers are the variety of migratory seabirds, heathland and grassland habitat and the Lundy ponies. Designated the first Marine Conservation Area, Lundy offers opportunites for diving and seal watching.
