ULLSWATER AND AIRA FORCE, CUMBRIA
Dramatic walks around Aira Force waterfall, renowned in Victorian times as a beauty spot, provide one of the highlights of the Trust’s ownership in the valley. This totals 5242ha (13,000 acres) of fell and woodland, and six farms (including Glencoyne, the largest). There is access to parts of Brotherswater and Ullswater, site of Wordsworth’s famous daffodils.
