BLICKLING HALL, GARDEN & PARK, NORFOLK
Built in the early 17th century and one of England’s great Jacobean houses, Blickling is famed for its spectacular long gallery, superb plasterwork ceilings and fine collections of furniture, pictures, books and tapestries. The gardens are full of colour throughout the year and the extensive parkland features a lake and a series of beautiful woodland and lakeside walks. What’s new in 2004: Cycles are available for you to explore the Blickling park, woodland, and quiet country roads adjoining the estate for independent exploration. Available from the hire point in the orchard picnic area. Helmets are provided. Cycle Hire direct tel. 01263 738015. Prices start from £5 for 2 hours.
