HATFIELD FOREST, ESSEX

Of great historical and ecological importance, Hatfield Forest is a designated SSSI and National Nature Reserve. The pollarded hornbeams and oaks support a wide variety of wildlife and there are many excellent walks and nature trails, as well as fishing in the lake. During summer cattle graze in the forest.
