Commanding outstanding views over the Vale of Aylesbury and along the Chiltern Ridge, Whipsnade and Dunstable Downs comprise 206ha (510 acres) of grassland and farmland, where the steep slopes are rich in flora and associated fauna. This open space offers an opportunity to enjoy many forms of recreation, including walking, kite-flying and watching paragliders and gliders. The countryside centre is adjacent to the car parks on the B4541.
