DERRYMORE HOUSE, ARMAGH

The house is typical of the informal thatched retreats, or cottages ornées, boasted by many estates in the 18th century. It was built in a picturesque setting by Isaac Corry, who represented Newry in the Irish House of Commons for thirty years from 1776.
