CARRICK-A-REDE, ANTRIM

On the North Antrim Coastal Path, just east of Ballintoy, is one of Northern Ireland’s best-loved attractions: the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Traditionally salmon fishermen have erected this precarious bridge to the island over a 24m-deep and 18m-wide chasm. Those bold enough to cross are rewarded with fantastic views and wildlife.
