Do you wish to put your artistic skills to practical use? Perhaps you wish to learn a new craft but don’t know where to start - If so then this is the course for you. The one day mosaic making course is held at a purpose built studio in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex and is hosted by artist Paul Siggins and his wife Fiona. Under Paul’s experienced, friendly guidance you will learn new skills and mosaic cutting techniques as you develop and complete a wonderful mosaic work to take home with you.

LOCATION: Essex (South East)

AGENDA: The course begins at 10:00am and finishes at 5:30pm with a break for lunch. Throughout the course of the day you will;

• Learn to use mosaic tile nippers, scribers and pliers
• Explore a range of mosaic materials including glass, porcelain and ceramic
• Apply a range of cutting & nipping techniques to different materials
• Choose and apply the direct or indirect methods of fixing mosaic
• Learn to mix and to apply adhesive and grout
• And you will leave the proud owner of a mosaic work you have produced under the guidance of an established mosaic artist!

NOTES: On purchasing this experience you will be sent a voucher valid for ten months for one person. Courses are held once a month throughout the year. There will be a maximum of 9 other participants on the course with you. This experience is suitable for participants aged 14 years and over. No previous experience is necessary. Refreshments will be served throughout the day. Lunch is not included in the package, but may be booked for a small additional charge. Alternatively, you may bring your own packed lunch with you. All courses are subject to availability.
