Falconry techniques have been refined over many centuries and passed down from many falconers. This introductory course allows you to not only share in this knowledge and skill, but offers you hands on opportunities throughout your experience. Learn to fly hawks, falcons and eagles which are among some of the fastest and most powerful birds in the world.

LOCATION: Skipton, North Yorkshire (North)

AGENDA: Your experience starts with tea, coffee or soft drinks on arrival, before participating in an introduction to the different hawks, falcons and eagles. Then it's straight out to the fields and woodlands for an extremely hands on hawk walk. You may even have the chance, depending on time available of seeing the falcon flown in the wild flower meadow on site.

NOTES: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months. The minimum age for this experience is 16 years old. Please note that spectators are not allowed on this experience and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult who has also booked a place. Participants should be in reasonably good health to take part in this experience, although the experience can be tailored for disabled or elderly customers - if need be, please inform the venue prior to arrival so any necessary arrangements can be made. In case of heavy incessant rain there is a indoor flying venue available where alternative programmes are carried out. This experience runs throughout the year. There will be a maximum of six other participants on the day. Please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year.
